Jennie Sheridan
Girls Director
Girls Director Jennie Sheridan has been with LIVBC for the past 24 years, starting out as a team parent for her son’s team. She has held several positions on the Boys side, including Secretary, Vice President and Director. When the Girls program was added to the club in 2009, Jennie became our first Director and has held the position ever since.
Jennie holds several coaching certifications, including Impact, CAP I and Gold Medal Squared. She also holds a Varsity rating in high school volleyball officiating and is active in Suffolk County.
She believes you should always watch what you do. You never know when someone is watching you because you are their inspiration or hero.

Head Coaches
18 Blue - Kevin Parker
Coach Kevin Parker returns for his 7th year at LIVBC. Prior to joining the club he spent 2 years as the Varsity Girls coach at Comsewogue HS and 1 year as the JV Girls coach at Rocky Point HS. He is now the head coach of the Boys Varsity volleyball team at Great Neck North HS, where he also coaches in the Boys and Girls middle school programs.
Coach Parker played 4 years of Varsity volleyball at Hicksville HS. He earned a Bachelors degree in English and a Masters in Secondary English Education at the University at Buffalo and is currently an English teacher at Great Neck North MS.
His coaching philosophy comes from this quote by the great Brazilian soccer player Pele, “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.”

17 Blue - Taylor Carangi
Coach Taylor Carangi returns for her fourth season on the coaching staff at LIVBC. She played Varsity volleyball at West Islip HS and also played for LIVBC from 2009 to 2013. She attended East Carolina University, where she served as President / Coach of the Women’s Club Volleyball team for 3 years.
Coach Taylor was involved with travel volleyball at various clubs in North Carolina for 7 years as a Head Coach for National teams and Lead Trainer for Regional teams, and also assisted with college recruiting. She was Head Coach of the Varsity team at Forbush HS in NC, where she earned Conference Coach of the Year honors. Coach Taylor is currently the Girls JV volleyball coach at West Islip HS.
17 Gold - Michael Weaver
Coach Michael Weaver has been with LIVBC for 16 years and has coached at several levels, including the 14s, 16s, 17s and 18s, and is also a Clinician at our annual Summer Camp. He holds a NYS Coaching Certification, as well as being Impact, CAP I and Gold Medal Squared certified.
He has been the Head Coach of the Girls Varsity program at Centereach High School for the past 20 years, following 3 years as the JV coach at Newfield HS. While at Centereach, he has been honored as the Suffolk County Volleyball – League Coach of the Year 3 times, most recently in 2016. In 2022, Coach Weaver was honored by the Suffolk County Coaches Association with the Teri Tiso Award demonstrating excellence in coaching volleyball and high standards of sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
Coach Weaver has earned both a Bachelors and Masters degree from Stony Brook University.

17 Red - James Lillie
Coach James Lillie returns for his second year on the staff at LIVBC for the 2024-25 season. He has been around club volleyball for the past 13 years with a daughter and two sons playing on travel teams. His daughter Kendall was a manager for a D1 college women's team and both sons play at the D1 level - Benjamin at Sacred Heart and his youngest Alexander at George Mason. He began officiating both middle school and club volleyball during the 2022-23 season and has coaching experience through PAL football and lacrosse. He was also a scoutmaster for many years, but now focuses his time on volleyball.
Coach Lillie began his professional career as an Engineer before obtaining his MBA in Finance and later his Law Degree from St. John’s University. As a patent attorney and sports agent, he founded his own law practice in 2002 specializing in patents, trademarks, copyrights, business & sports law, and has been teaching Business Law at St. Joseph’s University in Patchogue since 2004.
16 Blue - Karen Edwards
Coach Karen Edwards returns for her 5th season at LIVBC. She has been the Head Coach of the Girls Varsity program at Connetquot HS for the past 5 years, following 16 years as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach. She has been honored as the Suffolk County Volleyball – League Coach of the Year 3 times, most recently in 2019.
Coach Karen is a Business teacher at Oakdale-Bohemia Middle School, where she has also been the Head Coach of the Girls and Boys volleyball programs and Head Coach of the Girls softball team.

16 Gold - Allie Luft
Coach Allie Luft is entering her 9th year of coaching at LIVBC and is Impact certified. She has coached at the 14s, 15s and 16s levels and has been the Head Coach of the 16 Gold team for the past 5 seasons.
Coach Allie started playing volleyball when she was 13, first at Club Attack and then for 3 years at LIVBC. She played throughout high school at Northport HS and college at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) where she joined the Grand Club for amassing over 1,000 digs. She graduated from MCLA with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Sport Psychology.
16 Red - Fernando (Freddie) Rodriguez
Coach Freddie Rodriguez returns for his 6th year on the coaching staff at LIVBC. He coached the Boys Varsity volleyball team at Aviation High School in NYC for 27 years and Girls club volleyball in Suffolk County for 4 seasons. He also served 19 seasons as the Girls Volleyball Commissioner for the NYC Public Schools Athletic League.
Coach Freddie retired from teaching after 33 years as an Instructor of Aviation Maintenance Technology and is a Veteran of the US Navy. He is a certified volleyball official for both PAVO and NY State. He is big on safety, fun and learning, then winning.
Fun Fact:
Coach Freddie worked 12 to 16 hours a day on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal CV 59 fixing, launching and recovering fighter jets.

15 Blue - Larry Auth
Coach Larry Auth has 19 years of experience coaching travel volleyball at various clubs, including 9 years at LIVBC. He recently retired as the Girls Varsity coach at Bellport HS, a position he had held for 27 years, after coaching at the JV level for 14 years. While at Bellport, his teams were League Champions 14 times and County Champs once. In addition, he has been honored as Suffolk County Volleyball - League Coach of the Year 9 times and received the Suffolk County Coach of the Year Excellence in Coaching award once. He earned his 400th career victory in 2022.
Coach Auth is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and is retired from Bellport HS, where he taught for 30 years. He is Impact certified by USA Volleyball.

15 Gold - Laurel Edwards
Coach Laurel Edwards returns for her second year on the staff at LIVBC for the 2024-25 season. She played 3 years of Varsity volleyball at Connetquot HS, winning NY State championships in 2017 and 2019, and continued her playing career at Bard College for two seasons. She then transferred to SUNY New Paltz and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Studies in 2023.
Coach Edwards is the Girls JV volleyball coach at Connetquot HS, after one year as head coach of the Varsity team at Rhinebeck HS, and also has experience coaching club volleyball. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Education from Stony Brook University.

15 Red - Anthony Tussie
Coach Anthony Tussie returns for his second year on the staff at LIVBC for the 2024-25 season. He is a Health and Physical Education teacher for the Hicksville School District, where he has been coaching middle school, JV and Varsity volleyball for the past 19 years. In addition to his 25-year teaching career, he currently serves as President of the Board of Education for the West Islip School District.
Coach Tussie received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Hofstra University.

15 Black - Suzanne Legge
Coach Suzanne Legge joins the staff at LIVBC for the 2024-25 season. She is a Physical Education teacher at Harborfields High School, where she serves as the Varsity and Middle School girls volleyball coach. She has 29 years of coaching experience, including the past with 23 years at Harborfields and over 20 years coaching club. She has coached at the grassroots level through college and is excited to start her first year at LIVBC.
Coach Legge met her husband Mike while coaching JV at Smithtown HS and Boys 16s at LIVBC. She has three great kids and enjoys watching them play sports (while ignoring any feedback she gives them), playing with their two dogs, and reading.

14 Blue - Kimberly Waldvogel
Coach Kimberly Waldvogel returns for her 8th year at LIVBC. She is currently the Head Coach of the Girls Varsity team at Islip HS and also has experience coaching at the Boys Varsity and Girls JV level.
She played club volleyball for both LIVBC and Academy, and was a 3-year Varsity starter at Libero/DS for Smithtown West HS where she won several awards, including Honorable Mention Rookie of the Year, All League, All Conference and All Tournament, and the Maura Stouter Award.
Coach Kim graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and a Concentration in Adaptive Physical Education.

14 Gold - Sarah McDearmon
Coach Sarah McDearmon returns to the LIVBC coaching staff for her second year of full-time coaching, after assisting the 14 Gold team as a volunteer in 2023. She played Varsity volleyball for Smithtown HS West and 7 years of club ball at LIVBC and Academy as a middle and right side.

14 Red - Fotis Michael
Coach Fotis Michael returns for his fourth season on the coaching staff at LIVBC for 2024-25. He began his coaching career as a volunteer Head Coach for a boys' youth volleyball program in 2010, during which his teams won 5 out of 6 league tournaments and achieved back-to-back undefeated seasons.
In 2017, Coach Fotis returned to volleyball as the Head Coach of the JV Girls Volleyball team at Centereach HS, where he was named JV Coach of the Year for his league. He continues to work and coach at Centereach HS, now as the Varsity Assistant and 7th grade Head Coach at Dawnwood Middle School. In 2024, Coach Fotis' 13s team finished 1st at GEVA Regionals.

14 Black - Thomas Luft
Coach Thomas Luft returns to LIVBC for the 2024-25 season after taking a few years off from coaching to focus on his career while living in Manhattan. He is entering his 6th year at LIVBC, with experience at both the 14s and 15s level. He is SafeSport certified and a Certified Personal Trainer.
Coach Tom played Varsity volleyball at Northport HS.

13 Blue - Kaitlyn (Kait) Williams
Coach Kait Williams is entering her 8th year of coaching at LIVBC and has coached teams at the 14s, 15s and 16s levels. She is currently the Head Coach of the Girls Varsity volleyball team at Lindenhurst High School. Coach Kait played Varsity volleyball for Sachem East HS and played for the Women’s team at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue.

Coach Laina Rivers returns for her 6th year at LIVBC for the 2024-25 season with 6 years of experience playing for the club and assisting with our youth clinics. She also played at Smithtown HS West, then went on to coach right after high school.
She recently graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Patchogue and is currently pursuing a Real Estate License. She also enjoys fitness and teaching her teams exercises to become stronger volleyball players.

Coach Donna Lillie joins the staff at LIVBC for the 2024-25 season. She has many years of experience coaching youth basketball and has been around both girls and boys club volleyball for the past 13 years with her three children, all of whom played for Connetquot HS and went on to play in college. During that time, she was often the Team Mom and the Fundraising Chairperson. She has also held many positions in the Scouts and is the Run Coordinator for Andrew's Top Gun Run charity race that is held each March.
Coach Donna is a seasoned Banking Professional with a BS degree from Adelphi, and an Executive MBA from St. John’s University. She is currently the Chief Banking Officer at M.Y. Safra Bank.

Coach Christopher Mitchell returns for his second year on the staff at LIVBC for the 2024-25 season. He started playing volleyball in 7th grade and continued through the JV and Varsity levels at Smithtown HS West. He played club volleyball at the University of Tampa, where he was also club President, and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Finance.

16 Red - Kaitlyn Batista
Coach Kaitlyn Batista is entering her first year of coaching at LIVBC. She played volleyball from 7th grade through high school and graduated from North Babylon HS. She also played club volleyball at CALI as a setter. She went on to play at Hunter College until sustaining an injury and now plays recreationally. She transferred to Long Island University, where she earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees, both in Nutrition and Dietetics.

15 Blue - Emma Rivers
Coach Emma Rivers joins the staff at LIVBC for the 2024-25 season. She started playing volleyball at LIVBC when she was only 11 and continued through her senior year. She also played at Smithtown HS West for all 4 years as a setter.
Coach Emma continued her playing career at SUNY Plattsburgh, where she was a 3-year team captain and recorded over 1,000 career assists. She graduated from Plattsburgh in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fitness and Wellness, and a minor in Nutrition and Coaching. She is currently a teaching assistant for Eastern Suffolk BOCES while she works toward her Exercise Physiology certification.
15 Gold - Alicia Feeney
Coach Alicia Feeney returns for her 6th year on the coaching staff at LIVBC. She played volleyball from 8th grade through high school and graduated from Centereach HS. She also played soccer and softball growing up and still plays both beach and indoor volleyball. She has 4 years of experience coaching youth soccer.
Coach Alicia has an Associates degree from Suffolk Community College and a Diploma for Office Administration from Hunter Business School. She is currently a medical biller for a multi-specialty practice.

15 Black - Brian Delaney
Coach Brian Delaney joins the staff at LIVBC for the 2024-25 season. He played varsity volleyball at Smithtown West HS for 3 years and played club for LIVBC from 8th through 11th grades. He is currently the coach of the 8th grade girls volleyball team at Oldfield Middle School in the Harborfields school district.
Coach Brian graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and is working to become a physical education teacher.
14 Blue - Kyle Fabian
Coach Kyle Fabian is entering his fourth season on the coaching staff at LIVBC. He played volleyball for all 4 years at Smithtown East High School and after graduating, he was an assistant coach at Rival Volleyball Club for 4 seasons. After taking some time off from coaching, he’s ready to help our players grow to their full potential.

14 Red - Alyssa Gillen
Coach Alyssa Gillen joins the coaching staff at LIVBC for the 2024-25 season. She played 3 years of Varsity volleyball at Kings Park HS as a Libero/DS, where she helped the team win the Suffolk County Class A championship in 2017-19 and the Long Island Class A championship in 2017-18, when they advanced to the NY State Championships and placed second. She earned All-Conference and All-County during her senior year and also played club volleyball at both LIVBC and Sportime.
Coach Alyssa went on to play club volleyball during all 4 years at Syracuse University and graduated in 2023 with a Communications degree in Recording and Entertainment in the Music Industry. She has coaching experience from working clinics at Kings Park HS and Sportime, and has also taught private lessons. She continues to play competitive beach volleyball.
13 Blue - Jessica Monteserrato
Coach Jessica Monteserrato is returning for her 8th year of coaching at LIVBC and has experience at both the 14s and 15s level. Her playing career includes 4 years at Mepham HS, 3 years of club volleyball and 4 years for St Joseph’s College in Patchogue.
Coach Jess graduated from St. Joseph’s with a double major in Elementary Education and Speech and earned her Masters degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at St. John’s University in Hauppauge.

Coach Jess once cracked her front tooth doing a burpee during volleyball practice in college.
