Jennie Sheridan

Girls Director

Girls Director Jennie Sheridan has been with LIVBC for the past 23 years, starting out as a team parent for her son’s team.  She has held several positions on the Boys side, including Secretary, Vice President and Director.  When the Girls program was added to the club in 2009, Jennie became our first Director and has held the position ever since. 

Jennie holds several coaching certifications, including Impact, CAP I and Gold Medal Squared.  She also holds a Varsity rating in high school volleyball officiating and is active in Suffolk County.

She believes you should always watch what you do.  You never know when someone is watching you because you are their inspiration or hero.

Head Coaches

 

18 Blue - Michael Weaver

Coach Michael Weaver has been with LIVBC for 15 years and has coached at several levels, including the 14s, 16s, 17s and 18s, and is also a Clinician at our annual Summer Camp.  He holds a NYS Coaching Certification, as well as being Impact, CAP I and Gold Medal Squared certified.

He has been the Head Coach of the Girls Varsity program at Centereach High School for the past 19 years, following 3 years as the JV coach at Newfield HS.  While at Centereach, he has been honored as the Suffolk County Volleyball – League Coach of the Year 3 times, most recently in 2016.  In 2022, Coach Weaver was honored by the Suffolk County Coaches Association with the Teri Tiso Award demonstrating excellence in coaching volleyball and high standards of sportsmanship and ethical behavior.

Coach Weaver has earned both a Bachelors and Masters degree from Stony Brook University.

18 Gold - Kimberly Waldvogel

Coach Kimberly Waldvogel returns for her 7th year at LIVBC.  She is currently the Head Coach of the Girls Varsity team at Islip HS and also has experience coaching at the Boys Varsity and Girls JV level.

She played club volleyball for both LIVBC and Academy, and was a 3-year Varsity starter at Libero/DS for Smithtown West HS where she won several awards, including Honorable Mention Rookie of the Year, All League, All Conference and All Tournament, and the Maura Stouter Award.

Coach Kim graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and a Concentration in Adaptive Physical Education.

17 Blue - Taylor Carangi

Coach Taylor Carangi returns for her third season on the coaching staff at LIVBC for the 2023-24 season.  She played Varsity volleyball at West Islip HS and also played for LIVBC from 2009 to 2013.  She attended East Carolina University, where she served as President / Coach of the Women’s Club Volleyball team for 3 years. 

Coach Taylor was involved with travel volleyball at various clubs in North Carolina for 7 years as a Head Coach for National teams and Lead Trainer for Regional teams, and also assisted with college recruiting.  She was Head Coach of the Varsity team at Forbush HS in NC, where she earned Conference Coach of the Year honors.  Coach Taylor is currently the Girls JV volleyball coach at West Islip HS. 

 

17 Red - Mohsen ZamZam (Zam)

Coach Mohsen Zamzam returns for his third season on the coaching staff at LIVBC for 2023-24.  He started playing volleyball in high school, continued through college club teams and currently plays in competitive A level indoor leagues, as well as beach volleyball during the summer.

Coach Zam previously coached at Northport Volleyball Club where he led his 16’s team to the finals in all of their GEVA tournaments.  He conducted several volleyball clinics for East End Volleyball and has provided indoor and outdoor private lessons for the past 8 years.  Coach Zam has also been a varsity official for both boys and girls volleyball for the last 16 years.  He has a great passion for volleyball, tennis and soccer.

16 Blue - Karen Edwards

Coach Karen Edwards returns for her fourth season at LIVBC.  She has been the Head Coach of the Girls Varsity program at Connetquot HS for the past 4 years, following 16 years as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach. She has been honored as the Suffolk County Volleyball – League Coach of the Year 3 times, most recently in 2019.

Coach Karen is a Business teacher at Oakdale-Bohemia Middle School, where she has also been the Head Coach of the Girls and Boys volleyball programs and Head Coach of the Girls softball team.

16 Gold - Haley Timarky

Coach Haley Timarky returns for her second year on the coaching staff at LIVBC for the 2023-24 season.  She played varsity volleyball at Centereach HS for 5 years, as well as 5 years of club volleyball at LIVBC.

Coach Haley continued her playing career at SUNY New Paltz, where she played volleyball for all 4 years and lacrosse for 3.  She graduated in 2021 with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Education from Stony Brook University.

16 White - Alicia Feeney

Coach Alicia Feeney returns for her 5th year on the coaching staff at LIVBC.  She played volleyball from 8th grade through high school and graduated from Centereach HS.  She also played soccer and softball growing up and still plays both beach and indoor volleyball.  She has 4 years of experience coaching youth soccer.

Coach Alicia has an Associates degree from Suffolk Community College and a Diploma for Office Administration from Hunter Business School.  She is currently a medical biller for a multi-specialty practice.

Coach Alicia played high school volleyball for fellow LIVBC coach Mike Weaver.

16 Red - Fernando (Freddie) Rodriguez

Coach Freddie Rodriguez returns for his 5th year on the coaching staff at LIVBC.  He coached the Boys Varsity volleyball team at Aviation High School in NYC for 27 years and Girls club volleyball in Suffolk County for 4 seasons.  He also served 19 seasons as the Girls Volleyball Commissioner for the NYC Public Schools Athletic League.

Coach Freddie retired from teaching after 33 years as an Instructor of Aviation Maintenance Technology and is a Veteran of the US Navy.  He is a certified volleyball official for both PAVO and NY State.  He is big on safety, fun and learning, then winning.

Fun Fact:

Coach Freddie worked 12 to 16 hours a day on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal CV 59 fixing, launching and recovering fighter jets.

16 Black - Laurel Edwards

Coach Laurel Edwards joins the staff at LIVBC for the 2023-24 season.  She played 3 years of Varsity volleyball at Connetquot HS, winning NY State championships in 2017 and 2019, and continued her playing career at Bard College for two seasons.  She then transferred to SUNY New Paltz and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Studies in 2023.

Coach Edwards is the Girls JV volleyball coach at Connetquot HS, after one year as head coach of the Varsity team at Rhinebeck HS, and also has experience coaching club volleyball.  She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Education from Stony Brook University.

15 Blue - Larry Auth

Coach Larry Auth has 18 years of experience coaching travel volleyball at various clubs, including 8 years at LIVBC.  He recently retired as the Girls Varsity coach at Bellport HS, a position he had held for 27 years, after coaching at the JV level for 14 years.  While at Bellport, his teams were League Champions 14 times and County Champs once.  In addition, he has been honored as Suffolk County Volleyball - League Coach of the Year 9 times and received the Suffolk County Coach of the Year Excellence in Coaching award once.  He earned his 400th career victory in 2022.

Coach Auth is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and is retired from Bellport HS, where he taught for 30 years.  He is Impact certified by USA Volleyball.

15 Gold - Kevin Parker

Coach Kevin Parker returns for his 6th year at LIVBC and led one of our 14s teams to a 2nd place finish at GEVA Regionals in 2019.  Prior to joining the club he spent 2 years as the Varsity Girls coach at Comsewogue HS and 1 year as the JV Girls coach at Rocky Point HS, along with 3 years of coaching middle school girls.

Coach Parker played 4 years of Varsity volleyball at Hicksville HS and 2 years on the Club team at the University of Buffalo (UB).  He earned a Bachelors degree in English and a Masters in Secondary English Education at UB and is currently an English teacher at Great Neck North MS.

His coaching philosophy comes from this quote by the great Brazilian soccer player Pele, “Success is no accident.  It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.”

15 Red - Jennifer Wheeler

Coach Jennifer Wheeler returns for her third year on the coaching staff at LIVBC.  Coach Jenn played for LIVBC for 3 years and played 3 years of Varsity volleyball at Rocky Point HS as a setter.  She earned All-League honors in her junior and senior years and was captain and team MVP in her senior season.

Coach Jenn played Club volleyball at SUNY Geneseo, where she served multiple semesters as Team Captain and Club President.  She graduated from Geneseo in 2021 with a Bachelors degree in Math Adolescence Education and is currently pursuing her Masters degree remotely through SUNY Potsdam.  She is a head coach for girls volleyball at Dawnwood Middle School, where she teaches Algebra, and is the Varsity assistant coach for Girls Lacrosse at Middle Country. 

 

14 Blue - Rich Zdrojeski

Coach Rich Zdrojeski is a long-time LIVBC coach who started with the Boys program in 2001.  After 8 years as a Head Coach for the Boys, he switched to the Girls program in 2009 and has been a Head Coach with us ever since.  In 2016 he added the Boys back in and coached both for a few seasons.  He has also been a coach in our youth program since 2013.

Coach Rich played volleyball at Northeastern University and holds several coaching certifications, including CAP I, Gold Medal Squared and AOC.  In 2019, he was honored as the Boys ACVA/GEVA Coach of the Year.  He is currently the Girls Varsity volleyball coach at Northport High School.

14 Gold - Jessica Monteserrato

Coach Jessica Monteserrato is returning for her 7th year of coaching at LIVBC and has experience at both the 14s and 15s level.  Her playing career includes 4 years at Mepham HS, 3 years of club volleyball and 4 years for St Joseph’s College in Patchogue.

Coach Jess graduated from St. Joseph’s with a double major in Elementary Education and Speech and earned her Masters degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at St. John’s University in Hauppauge.

Coach Jess once cracked her front tooth doing a burpee during volleyball practice in college.

14 Red - Sylwia Schober

Coach Sylwia Schober returns for her second season on the coaching staff at LIVBC for the 2023-24 season.  She started playing volleyball at age 10 and continued at the Division I College level as a Middle Hitter.  She graduated from St. Francis College in Brooklyn with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.

Coach Sylwia has taught at The Mary Louis Academy HS in Jamaica Estates for 21 years, where she is also a Dean.  She has coached volleyball for 12 years at the high school, club, and college levels.  During her 7 years as head coach of the varsity team at TMLA, she led them to their first appearance in the CHSSAA Class AA State Tournament and was named Queens Girls Volleyball Coach of the Year in 2008.  As an assistant coach at St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn, her team won the conference championship all 4 years.  Coach Sylwia was also a head coach at the 15’s level for Tri-County Volleyball Club for 4 seasons and has 10 years of experience refereeing volleyball for PSAL and GEVA.

14 White - Suzanne Amberge

Coach Suzanne Amberge returns for her third season at LIVBC for the 2024 season.  She was the girls Varsity volleyball coach at Lynbrook HS, where she has qualified for the playoffs in each of her 14 seasons.  In addition, she led 5 teams to the Nassau County championship game, 1 to the NYS Regional Finals and 1 to the State Finals.  She has also coached youth volleyball and basketball, and was a referee for both, but ultimately decided that she preferred coaching to officiating.

Coach Amberge earned a Bachelors degree in Physical Education with NYS Coaching Certification from SUNY Cortland and a Masters in Health Education from Hofstra University.

Fun Fact:

Coach Amberge has a son who played for LIVBC in high school, continued to play in college, and still plays tournaments and beach volleyball with his LIVBC teammates.

14 Black - Laina Rivers

Coach Laina Rivers returns for her 5th year at LIVBC for the 2023-24 season with 6 years of experience playing for the club and assisting with our youth clinics.  She also played at Smithtown HS West, then went on to coach right after high school.

She recently graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Patchogue and is currently pursuing a Real Estate License.  She also enjoys fitness and teaching her teams exercises to become stronger volleyball players.

13 Blue - Fotis Michael

Coach Fotis Michael returns for his third season on the coaching staff at LIVBC for 2023-24.  He began his coaching career as a volunteer Head Coach for a boys' youth volleyball program in 2010, during which his teams won 5 out of 6 league tournaments and achieved back-to-back undefeated seasons.

In 2017, Coach Fotis returned to volleyball as the Head Coach of the JV Girls Volleyball team at Centereach HS, where he was named JV Coach of the Year for his league.  He continues to work and coach at Centereach HS, now as the Varsity Assistant and 7th grade Head Coach at Dawnwood Middle School.  Last year at LIVBC, Coach Fotis' 13s team finished 1st in one of their GEVA tournaments and placed 2nd at Regionals. He fervently believes in "WE" over "ME."

13 Gold - Kaitlyn (Kait) Williams

Coach Kait Williams is entering her 7th year of coaching at LIVBC and has coached teams at the 14s, 15s and 16s levels.  She is currently the Head Coach of the Girls Varsity volleyball team at Lindenhurst High School.  Coach Kait played Varsity volleyball for Sachem East HS and played for the Women’s team at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue.

18 Gold - Ellen Hoffman

Coach Ellen Hoffman returns for her 5th year on the LIVBC staff for the 2023-24 season.  She is the Head Coach of both the Middle School and JV Girls volleyball teams and the Assistant Coach of the Varsity volleyball team at Bellport High School, where she is also an English teacher.

Coach Ellen has coached club volleyball at both United and Long Island Fury before taking a brief break from travel.  She was excited to continue her club coaching career at LIVBC.

17 Blue - James Lillie

Coach James Lillie joins the staff at LIVBC for the 2023-24 season. He has been around club volleyball for the past 12 years with a daughter and two sons playing on travel teams. His daughter was a manager for a D1 college team, and both boys either have been or will be playing at the D1 level. He began officiating both middle school and club volleyball during the 2022-23 season and has coaching experience through PAL football and lacrosse. He was also a scoutmaster for many years, but now focuses his time on volleyball.

Coach Lillie began his professional career as an Engineer before obtaining his MBA in Finance and later his Law Degree from St. John’s University.  As a patent attorney and sports agent, he founded his own law practice in 2002 specializing in patents, trademarks, copyrights, business & sports law, and has been teaching Business Law at St. Joseph’s University in Patchogue since 2004.

 

17 Red - Anthony Tussie

Coach Anthony Tussie joins the staff at LIVBC for the 2023-24 season.  He is a Health and Physical Education teacher for the Hicksville School District, where he has been coaching middle school, JV and Varsity volleyball for the past 18 years.  In addition to his 24-year teaching career, he currently serves as President of the Board of Education for the West Islip School District.

Coach Tussie received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Hofstra University.

16 Gold - Julia Louis

Coach Julia Louis returns for her third season at LIVBC for the 2023-24 season.  Coach Julia started playing volleyball in 6th grade and played club volleyball for five years at LIVBC.  She played for three years on the Varsity team at Northport High School. 

Coach Julia continued her playing career at Union College in Schenectady, NY where she played all four years at right side.  She studied Economics and Psychology and graduated in 2021.

Coach Christopher Mitchell joins the staff at LIVBC for the 2023-24 season.  He started playing volleyball in 7th grade and continued through the JV and Varsity levels at Smithtown HS West.  He played club volleyball at the University of Tampa, where he was also club President, and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Finance.

16 Red - Emma Rehrauer

Coach Emma Rehrauer returns for her third year of coaching at LIVBC in 2023-24.  She moved to Long Island from the Buffalo, NY area, where she coached at the Niagara County Volleyball Club for the previous 4 years and led several of her teams to a number one ranking in their region.  Her coaching experience includes assisting girls programs at both the JV and Varsity levels, as well as running volleyball camps for new to advanced players in a range of age groups.

Coach Emma played outside hitter at a Division I program before being injured and continues to play on both the court and the sand.  She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Stony Brook University.

Coach Sarah McDearmon formally joins the LIVBC coaching staff for the 2023-24 season, after assisting the 14 Gold team as a volunteer in 2023.  She played Varsity volleyball for Smithtown HS West and 7 years of club ball at LIVBC and Academy as a middle and right side.

14 Blue - Erin Fels

Coach Erin Fels joins the coaching staff at LIVBC for the 2023-24 season.  She has played club volleyball since 6th grade and recently completed her senior season at Smithtown HS West, where she was a captain of the Varsity team and helped lead them to the Suffolk County semi-finals.  She has coaching experience from various camps and clinics, including the LIVBC summer camp and middle school league.

14 Gold - Kymberly Rambazis

Coach Kymberly Rambazis returns for her 5th year on the coaching staff at LIVBC.  She started playing volleyball in 7th grade and continued through 3 years at the Varsity level at North Babylon HS and 2 seasons of Division II volleyball at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue.

Coach Kymberly graduated from St. Joseph’s in 2020 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Speech and recently completed her Masters degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at Stony Brook University.

Coach Michael Schober returns for his third year of coaching at LIVBC for the 2023-24 season.  He has a Bachelors degree from Manhattanville College and a Masters from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in the Bronx, and has been a Math teacher and Dean in NYC for the past 30 years.

Coach Schober has over 20 years of coaching experience at the high school and college levels.  He led Christ the King Regional HS to 3 straight CHSAA-AA State titles and Saint Joseph’s College of Brooklyn to 5 straight Hudson Valley Conference Championships, while being named Hudson Valley Coach of the Year twice.  He is also a former Director of the Tri-County Volleyball Club in Brooklyn and a PAVO referee.

Coach Kyle Fabian is entering his third season on the coaching staff at LIVBC.  He played volleyball for all 4 years at Smithtown East High School and after graduating, he was an assistant coach at Rival Volleyball Club for 4 seasons.  After taking some time off from coaching, he’s ready to help our players grow to their full potential.
