We have limited spots available for specific positions on some of our TRAVEL teams. If interested in trying out, please complete the registration form at the link below, but Do Not pay a tryout fee until contacted to confirm that your age and position are needed.

At LIVBC we offer the opportunity to play on either a Travel or Regional team. Travel teams attend multi-day out of state tournaments that require overnight hotel stays, one of which may require air travel. Regional teams play 1-day tournaments within the GEVA Region and potentially 1 overnight travel tournament. The differences will be discussed during the parents meeting and additional details can be found on our FAQs page HERE.
As noted on the FAQs page, the USAV age definitions differ from the NYS school ages, so players with a late birthday (after July 1st) have the option to play down one grade. Players should generally attend the tryout that matches their grade, but if you are interested in playing down, please note that in the Comments section on the registration form.
Similar to last season, tryouts will be split for our Travel and Regional teams, so please read the schedule carefully and arrive on the correct days and times, and at the correct location. Tryout fees are Non-Refundable.
This year tryouts will be held at both Sports Arena in St James and All Sportz in Melville:

Players should attend both tryout days for either TRAVEL or REGIONAL. The tryout fee is $100 and covers both days.

Only players and staff will be allowed inside the facility during tryouts.
A Parent Informational Meeting will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, August 6 at 7:30 pm. Register for ZOOM.
All information will be provided at the Parents Meeting, so please hold your questions until then rather than calling or emailing now.
All players attending tryouts MUST register in advance. NO Walk-Ups will be accommodated on the day of tryouts.
The non-refundable tryout fee is due prior to attending the first tryout.

Registration will close on Thursday, August 8th at 10:00 pm for TRAVEL and Thursday, August 15th at 10:00 pm for REGIONAL. After that, new registrations will only be accepted if space allows.
All Tryout Fees are due by the registration deadlines. Any late payments will be charged an additional administrative fee of $20.

The process for offers and time allowed for decision-making will follow GEVA guidelines. In accordance with the GEVA Recruiting and Commitment Policy for 2024-25, "No Affiliations offered and agreed to prior to August 15, 2024 will be honored by or considered binding by GEVA. No Affiliations offered and agreed to prior to September 27, 2024 will be considered binding by GEVA until October 1, 2024."
